Tendon Smart Lite 9.8

The Tendon Smart Lite 9.8 mm is a single rope ideal for sports and indoor climbing use. At 9.8 mm, the Tendon Smart Lite is durable enough to take indoors and sport route abuse but not too thick to be unpleasant to handle. This is a great value rope that will work with all belay devices and with every level of climber.

Can't beat that value for money deal

Ok so it's not quite up there with the latest hi tech rope and does need a lot of care when uncoiling for the first time. It's a great work horse though and handles well , it was an unbeatable value for money deal too. A great all round sports rope which is hard to fault for the price. I would recommend it.

Good value

the rope is cheap but good. A bit stiff for my taste.

If it’s a good deal, you better bight!

This rope is super easy to handle, which makes it an ideal rope for beginners. As a beginner, I didn’t want to break the bank on prices and thought this might mean that I would ultimately sacrifice a bit of quality . As far as I can tell, this hasn’t been the case, the rope feeds very bell through any belay devices, the diameter is small enough to feed a bight through ring bolts and the rope hasn’t kinked once. Would absolutely recommend for a first rope!

Really good value rope

Overall this rope is a class rope. I've only had this rope for 2 months and it's been used only outdoors maybe about 15 times. So far it's been great, nice to clip, handle and belay with. Obviously would be nice to have a dry coating but as long as you're careful with where you dump your rope, it's not a big deal. The small yellow tape on the ends of the ropes do come off but honestly doesnt bother me as I'm pretty sure I can remember the length of my rope. For the price you pay, you really can't say anything bad about this rope. Would highly recommend as a first rope.

Perfect entry rope

Perfect first rope. Does what it should for a great value!
