I got this board a couple of weeks ago as my very first hangboard and it's a great way to gain finger strength. It looks absolutely amazing mounted over the doorway and the only minor issue were the bent screws, which came in the package. This however shouldn't be an issue as mounting the board is very particular to your house, so you have to get the appropiate gear (e.g. screws, plugs etc.) either way. The smooth wood means the skin doesn't take any additional abuse, which would be an issue when training on a plastic board.
